Our response to the Government announcement on its new social and affordable housing package

"We welcome today’s announcements from the Government as they provide much-needed clarity for the sector.

“We are pleased the new Decent Homes Standard and Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES) provide clear targets and a framework for housing associations to work towards to improve quality of life and reduce living costs for tenants.

“At Sanctuary, we are absolutely committed to playing our part in helping to tackle the country’s housing crisis, through both the delivery of new homes and investing in our existing properties to ensure they remain safe, warm and energy efficient for our customers.”
