Annual Report and Financial Statements

The last 12 months have seen a period of growth and investment in our services. For the second consecutive year we have invested record levels in our homes.

As one of the largest not-for-profit housing and care providers in the country, any surplus we make is reinvested to improve and refurbish our customers' homes as well as to build new ones.

Corporate Strategy 2026-2030

Our new corporate strategy sets out our priorities for Sanctuary over the next five years. Our ambition is clear - to be a progressive, resilient organisation that delivers high-quality services, homes, and support for the people and communities we serve. This ambition is rooted in a deep understanding of our customers’ needs and shaped by the growing expectations of Government.

Young Persons Strategy

Sanctuary Horizons is our strategy to support and empower young people aged 16 to 25. It focuses on two key areas: helping young customers access safe homes, strong communities, and the support they need to thrive; and supporting young colleagues to grow, develop, and feel valued at work. By listening to young people and working alongside them, we aim to remove barriers, improve opportunities, and create lasting change.

Inclusion for All

Our long-term goal is to be a diverse, inclusive organisation where our people thrive and meet our customers’ needs with fairness and empathy.

As well as being the right thing to do, developing an inclusive culture helps to stimulate critical thinking, improve decision-making, and enable a better understanding of differences among our customers and colleagues alike.

People Strategy 2025-2028

Our people are Sanctuary’s greatest asset. We are one team of around 14,000 people, working in a wide range of roles.

Our people perform best when they are listened to, appreciated, given clarity and focus, can be themselves and are empowered and engaged. This strategy sets out how we will make sure we create a positive culture that attracts and retains the best people, motivates and inspires them to serve our customers and enables them to be their true selves at work.
