Watts Grove development site

Dear Resident,

I am writing to you to share our plans for the Watts Grove development site in your community.

We’re aware that the site has been derelict since the incident that occurred on the 8 July 2020. We appreciate this incident had a devasting impact on the local community and the land has remained an empty building site since that date.

The building on site is falling into disrepair and we now need to begin demolition work at the site. Therefore, we are seeking permission from the Council to take down some of the existing structures.

While we understand and acknowledge the local sensitivities relating to the site, this is a positive and necessary step forward that will benefit the whole community.

We are engaging in positive conversations and working in partnership with local stakeholders, such as Tower Hamlets Borough Council, to ensure the successful planning and management of these proposals, as well as future options for the site.
