If you are finding it difficult to manage your money, we can help.

We work with a range of organisations who specialise in financial assistance, benefits / money and or debt advice. We will be able to provide you with contact details and in some instances can make referrals for you. This could include information and assistance for support with:

  • Calculating benefit entitlement
  • Help and advice on completing benefit application/claim forms
  • Help and advice on problems with benefit entitlement – including challenging decisions and helping residents deal with any debt or budgeting problems.

If you have a query about your rent, payments or if you are facing financial difficulty, please request a call back so we can help and advise you.  We can also put you in touch with your local Income Officer who will be able to assist.

To find out which benefits you may be entitled to, please use the Benefits Checker on the Turn2us website (this link will open in a new window). The Benefits Checker should only take ten minutes to complete.

If there are additional benefits you think you may be entitled to and you would like advice or help in making a claim, please request a call back and we can put you in touch with your local Income Officer who will be able to assist.

Budgeting and money management

The best way to manage your household finances is to monitor your incomings and outgoings in the form of a budget. A budget prioritises the things that are important (like your rent and household bills) and should be amended if your circumstances change to reflect the differences in your finances. This will help you take control of your finances, which should relieve stress and help you to plan for upcoming events. The Money Advice Service budget planner (this link will open in a new window) can help you work out how much money you have coming in and what you are spending it on.

If you do need some more information, please request a call back so we can help and advise you.  We can also put you in touch with your local Income Officer who will be able to assist.
