The Access to Information Scheme for social housing in England is now live. If you rent a Sanctuary home in England, you have the right to request certain information from us. We are also required to routinely publish the information we've set out below.

How to make a STAIRs request
Current tenants and their representatives will have the right to request access to certain information held by Sanctuary under the STAIRs framework. This right will formally come into effect in April 2027.
Sanctuary is currently developing the necessary internal processes and procedures to ensure compliance with this requirement. Further information on how to submit a STAIRs request, including eligibility, scope and timescales, will be published closer to the implementation date.
Information not included
We are committed to being open and transparent and to publishing information in line with the Social Tenant Access to Information Requirements (STAIRs).
If a tenant, or their representative, believes information that should be included in our Publication Scheme is not currently available, please contact us at dataprotection@sanctuary.co.uk.
We will review your request and assess whether the information falls within the scope of the Publication Scheme requirements. We will provide a response and advise you of the outcome within 30 days of receiving your request.
Accessible Formats
We are committed to making the information in our Publication Scheme accessible to everyone. All information included in the scheme is available online free of charge. If you are unable to access information online, require a copy in a different format, or need support accessing any of the information, please contact us at communications@sanctuary.co.uk.
We can provide information in alternative accessible formats, including large print, braille, audio, or translated copies, free of charge. We will provide one copy of requested information free of charge where an alternative format is required.
If you would prefer to view information in person, arrangements can be made to inspect information free of charge at one of our offices by appointment. To discuss your requirements or arrange an appointment, please email communications@sanctuary.co.uk.
