Sanctuary residents in Chester are enjoying new outdoor seating where they can socialise and spend time together safely.

The housing provider has installed almost 40 new environmentally friendly benches, made from recycled plastic bottles, in shared spaces and communal gardens at its housing schemes in Lache.

Residents are enjoying using the new benches to catch up with their neighbours and socialise with friends and family.

Sue Cadwaladr, Sanctuary’s area housing manager, said: “It’s especially important during the pandemic that people have comfortable outdoor spaces where they can spend time together.

“Our residents are already making good use of the new benches and tell us they will be the perfect place to spend time with their friends and neighbours once the warmer months arrive.”
