Wherever you live, our local team are keen to answer your questions and also hear your concerns.

Residents of the Fairview Estate in Braintree told us of issues with fly-tipping and the misuse of bin stores. To help tackle this issue we arranged a Community Skip Day on 22 August, enabling people to get rid of bulky items. Our first skip was full within an hour, evidence of the difference they made.

Local children had fun sorting rubbish, wearing hi-vis jackets for the litter pick. Representatives from Braintree Council also shared information and resources about recycling.

At Stoke Park in Ipswich we ran a similar event on 30 August that included a litter pick of the local area, skips for residents to dispose of household items and information on recycling. A bin lorry came along and gave the local children the chance to get on board.

Since the event, we’re very pleased to say fly-tipping has greatly reduced in the area and the feedback from residents has been very positive.
