We want our website to be quick and easy to use and to make it as straightforward as possible for our customers to find the information they need.

We launched this new site earlier this year, bringing several of our existing websites together to offer an improved user experience and make it easier to find out about who we are and what we do.

We’re delighted that the site has now received the Plain English Campaign’s Internet Crystal Mark - a recognition only awarded to websites that have been designed with a real commitment to being crystal clear for customers.

The Plain English Campaign carried out a full review, looking at the site’s language, design, layout, accessibility and navigation.

The review found it to be a “well laid out site with clear options”, noting that it loads quickly and provides good, clear information about Sanctuary’s services and how they can be accessed.

We used the latest technology, accessibility and service design principles to build the website from the perspective of our customers - with residents playing a key role during both the design and testing phases of the project.

Laura Masters, Sanctuary’s Head of Brand and Digital, said: “Our customers have been our top priority when designing the new website, and their input and experience has been at the heart of the process throughout.

“We want to be clear and transparent about who we are and the services we provide, and to ensure our customers and stakeholders can quickly and easily access any information they need.

“We’re delighted to receive the Crystal Mark in recognition of that commitment and look forward to working closely with our residents as we further develop the site.”
